They can be idendified by the small icon in either corner of most ads. The look similar to a small "smiling triangle" and when you place your cursor over them "Adchoices" is displayed in a small popout! We have limited control of the content within the ads. Most of the time, the ads are related to the main content ideas or theme within the respective page they are displayed on or are of general interest types.

PRODUCT REVIEWS

This website DOES accept free sample products from time to time from businesses who wish to share their products with this site for possible product reviews. Accepting those products DOES NOT influence this sites' decision to mention the product or company on this site and/or to write a favorable review. It does give the company submitting a product the opportunity to call attention to their products. We also offer reader reviews of various ham radio products giving the reader's point of view and opinion of a particular product he has purchased or used and any opinions or views he has of the product are his alone.

PAID ADVERTISING

Ad banner advertisement space is offered and used on Hamuniverse.com on a limited basis as space becomes available on some pages. Most ad banners on Hamuniverse.com are paid for by the company doing the advertising of their products on a time and space basis. Some of the banner advertising will be Pay Per Click using Google Adsense (identified as "Ads by Google"), which are page impressions that are paid by advertisers to Google and in turn Google serves (displays) them to Adsense partners like Hamuniverse.com. This means when you click on an Google ad (Pay Per Click program), this site receives a very small referral fee which I appreciate very much. Pennies do ad up over time!

All advertising on this site must conform to the overall content, which means I usually only accept relevant content advertising that I feel will be helpful to my readers.
